Engagement Delivery
Change Management
Platform changes alter how teams ship software. Treat adoption as a change-management problem, not only a technical rollout.
Change impact
For each major change, identify:
- Teams affected.
- Workflow steps changing.
- Tools being added, replaced, or removed.
- Required training.
- Policy or approval changes.
- Migration deadlines and support windows.
- Known exceptions.
Rollout strategy
Prefer staged rollout over broad mandates.
Migration support
Good migration support includes:
- Clear before and after workflow examples.
- Migration checklist.
- Office hours or support rotation.
- Known issue tracker.
- Rollback or exception path.
- Deadline and enforcement plan.
Resistance signals
Watch for:
- Teams bypassing the new workflow.
- Repeated support questions on the same step.
- Manual exceptions becoming permanent.
- Increased lead time or failed deployments.
- Unclear ownership after migration.
Resistance is often a signal that the paved road is incomplete or the change was communicated poorly.
